Ingredients:

1 1/3 pound extra lean ground beef,
2 tablespoons minced onion,
1 tablespoon Dijon-style mustard,
3/4 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning,
1/4 teaspoon each ground cumin,
cracked black pepper and salt,
8 lettuce leaves,
8 medium tomato slices, cut 1/4 inch thick.
8 thin red onion rings.

Directions:

Combine ground beef, minced onion, mustard, Italian seasoning, cumin, pepper and salt, mixing lightly but thoroughly.  Divide beef mixture into 4 equal portions; shape into patties using BurgerMate. Place patties on rack in broiler pan so surface of meat is 3 to 4 inches from heat source. Broil to desired doneness, 8 to 10 minutes, turning once.  Place 2 or 3 lettuce leaves on each individual plates; top with 2 tomato slices, 2 onion rings and a burger. Garnish as desired.
