Ingredients:

1 1/3 pound lean ground beef,
4 ounce can sliced mushrooms,
3 tablespoons finely chopped onion,
3 tablespoons finely chopped chives,
1 teaspoon garlic salt,
Dash black pepper,
1 egg,
2 tablespoons butter or margarine,
Hamburger buns,
For serving - Lettuce, tomatoes, pepper rings for garnish.

Preparation Instructions:

1. In a saucepan, combine mushrooms with liquid, onion, chives, garlic salt, and pepper.

2. Bring to a boil. Boil for 1 to 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Cool.

3. In a bowl, combine beef with the mushroom mixture, but reserve some for garnish. Add egg. Blend to combine well.

4. Shape meat mixture into 4 patties using BurgerMate.

5. Heat butter in a skillet. Brown patties on both sides until well browned.

6. Reduce heat and cook for another 3 to 5 minute or until done to your liking - medium, rare, or well done.

7. Place patties on hot bus. Garnish with lettuce, tomato slices, pepper rings or cucumber. Top with remaining heated mushroom mixture.

8. Serve at once.
