Homemade Hamburgers with Tomato Relish Submitted By: Kyle

INGREDIENTS:

2 tablespoons olive oil,
1 large (200g) onion, sliced thinly.
500g beef mince,
150g sausage mince,
1 small (80g) onion, chopped finely.
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce,
1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley,
salt and freshly ground black pepper,
4 round bread rolls, halved.
4 leaves butter lettuce, halved.
2 medium (300g) tomatoes, sliced thickly.
1 (45g) dill cucumber, sliced thinly.
1/3 cup (110g) tomato relish.

METHOD:

Heat half the oil in a large frying pan; add sliced onion, cook, stirring, until browned. Remove from pan; cover to keep warm. Meanwhile, combine mince, sausage mince, chopped onion, sauce, parsley, salt and pepper in a bowl; mix well. Shape mixture into patties using BurgerMate. Heat remaining oil in same pan; cook patties until browned on both sides and cooked through. Grill cut side of buns until toasted lightly. Divide lettuce among base of buns; top with patties, tomatoes, dill cucumber, onion, and tomato relish then tops of buns.
