Herbed Veal Burgers Submitted By: Richard

Ingredients:

1 lb Ground Veal,
1 tbsp finely chopped fresh tyme leaves,
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar,
1 clove garlic, crushed.
1/4 tsp EACH salt and pepper,
1/4 cup chopped ripe olives,
lettuce leaves,
4 slices (1/2 inch/ 1 cm) thick Italian bread, or 2 kaiser rolls, cut in half, toasted.

Sauce:

1/4 cup mayonnaise,
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar (optional),
1 clove garlic, crushed.

Method:

1. In small bowl, combine sauce and mix well.

2. In medium bowl, combine veal, thyme, vinegar, garlic, salt and pepper, mixing lightly but thoroughly.

3. Shape into patties using BurgerMate.

4. Grill uncovered 10 to 12 minutes or until centers are no longer pink, turning once.

5. Reserve 1 tbsp (15 mL) sauce and 1 tbsp (15 mL) chopped olives for garnish.

6. Evenly spread remaining sauce on each piece of toast; sprinkle with remaining olives.

7. Top with lettuce and veal burger.

8. Garnish each burger with reserved sauce and olives.
