Ingredients:

2 beef cubes,
1½ lb good quality minced beef (10%fat),
4½ oz good quality pork sausage,
1 small onion, finely chopped.
1 medium egg,
few drops Tabasco (optional).
2 tbsp chopped parsley,
salt and freshly ground black pepper,
2 large red onions, sliced.
oil for frying,
salad leaves.

Directions:

Mix all the ingredients together, seasoning with a little salt and pepper. Form the mixture into patties using BurgerMate. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.  To cook the onions, heat about 2.5cm/1" oil in a medium pan, when hot add the onions and fry until beginning to crisp, drain on kitchen paper. To cook the burgers, either grill for 4-5 minutes on each side or cook over a prepared barbecue, try to only turn once, to prevent the juices running out and drying the burgers. Serve the burgers on a bed o salad leaves placed on ciabatta rolls then top with the onions.
