Cranberry Salsa Burger Submitted By: Chuck

Ingredients:

1 lb. (450 g) Certified Angus Beef ground chuck,
1 red onion, finely chopped.
1 Tbsp. (15 ml) peppercorns, crushed.
4 oz. (115 g) Swiss cheese, thinly sliced.

Cranberry Salsa:

3/4 (175 ml) cup Picante sauce,
8 oz. (225 ml) canned whole cranberry sauce,
1 1/2 tsp. (7 ml) orange zest,
1/4 (60 ml) cup orange juice,
1/2 tsp. (2 ml) dried mint, crushed.

Directions:

Mix salsa ingredients together. Set aside.  In a mixing bowl, mix together beef, onions and pepper. Form patties using BurgerMate and grill over medium heat until internal temperature is 160F or no pink remains. Add cheese and melt.  Place on bun and top with cooled cranberry salsa. Serve.
