Blue Cheese Burgers with Red Onion Submitted By: Helena

Ingredients:

2 pounds ground beef chuck,
2 cloves garlic, minced.
1 teaspoon salt,
1/2 teaspoon black pepper,
4 ounces blue cheese,
1/3 cup coarsely chopped walnuts, toasted.
1 torpedo (long) red onion or 2 small red onions, sliced into 3/8-inch-thick rounds.
2 baguettes (each 12 inches long),
Olive or vegetable oil.

Directions:

Combine beef, garlic, salt and pepper in medium bowl. Shape meat mixture into patties using BurgerMate. Mash cheese and blend with walnuts in small bowl. Divide cheese mixture equally; place on centers of meat patties. Oil hot grid to help prevent sticking. Grill patties and onion, if desired, on covered grill, over medium KINGSFORDŽ Briquets, 7 to 12 minutes for medium doneness (160°F), turning once. Cut baguettes into 4-inch lengths; split each piece and brush cut side with olive oil. Move cooked burgers to edge of grill to keep warm. Grill bread, oil side down, until lightly toasted. Serve burgers on toasted baguettes.
