Ingredients:

1 1/3 pound lean ground chuck,
1/4 teaspoon salt,
1/4 teaspoon pepper,
1 tablespoon vegetable oil or butter,
4 kaiser rolls,
4 lettuce leaves,
2 small tomatoes, sliced.
1 onion, sliced.

Directions:

1. Crumble the ground beef into a bowl. Season with the salt and pepper. Mix gently without overworking, then shape into 4 patties using BurgerMate.

2. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add burgers; cook for 6 minutes, turning once for medium doneness. (You can also broil or grill the burgers for 5 minutes, turning once.)

3. Split the rolls; line each bottom with 1 lettuce leave and top with a burger, 2 tomato slices and 1 onion slice. Serve with carrot sticks, if desired.
