Barbecued Beef Burgers Submitted By: Maranda
Date/Time : March-31-2006, 18:23:00

Ingredients:

1 1/3 pound lean ground chuck,
1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons prepared barbecue sauce,
1/4 teaspoon salt,
1/4 teaspoon pepper,
1 tablespoon vegetable oil or butter,
4 split sesame-seed sandwich buns,
1 cup prepared coleslaw.

Directions:

1. Crumble the ground beef into a bowl. Add 2 tablespoons barbecue sauce, salt and pepper. Mix gently without overworking, then shape into 4 patties using BurgerMate.

2. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add burgers; cook for 6 minutes, turning once for medium doneness. (You can also broil or grill the burgers for 5 minutes, turning once.)

3. Meanwhile, warm the buns in the oven. Top each split bun with a burger, some barbecue sauce and 1/4 cup of coleslaw. Serve with baked beans, if desired.
